last day

 

So today is the last day of class!!! I’m excited for school to be almost done, but definitley not excited for finals. In today’s class I hope to finish my optional piece, which is going to be another collage. Time has flew by so quickly I can’t believe the semester is pretty much over! I’m extremely happy I decided to take this class, even though I really had no clue what I was getting myself into.

I’m extremely thrilled that my collage project is almost done! I didn’t think that I could accomplish so much work as I did last class. Along with that, I even figured out what I’m going to do for my last project..with the help of Professor! With some of the pictures that I put up for my concepts, I had a lot of me both at my age now and when I was little. I am going to make another collage with those pictures and give it to my mom for mother’s day!

This week I had to think of new concepts for the collage project. I’m not sure yet which I want to do but i’m excited to see what other people in class came up with.  It hard to believe that school is almost over! This class feels like it has flew by and I’ve learned so much new stuff!

Happy Easter!!

Easter day…makes me not wanna go to school tomorrow! Anyway, i’m excited for class tomorrow so I can finally work on more detailed parts of my cubist piece. I’m also excited to get introduced to the third project, the collage piece. I kind of already have a few things in mind for possible concepts.

So because class was cancelled, I wasn’t able to really work on my project…now I know I am definitely behind on the cubism project :(. On another note, one day last week I had to take my grandmother to the hospital for some tests. When we were waiting in the waiting room, I noticed that the floor had a cubist pattern. The pattern was very similar to one of Braque’s pieces of work..thought that was interesting to see!

After getting more work done on my cubism project, I am definitely happy with the way I am performing in this class. On monday’s class (3/26), I am hoping to get a lot accomplished because the first few classes working on this project was mainly dedicated to getting rid of the backgrounds of my pictures. I am absolutely loving all of the tutorials of the tools professor is showing us because its showing me that there are so many amazingly cool things photoshop can do!

Back to school :(

Although spring break is over, I’m semi glad to be back to be able to work on my cubism project. Everything seems to be going well so far with this project. I put my final touches on my hyper project and it is finally done! It feels absolutely amazing to have one project completed, because I was overly worried that this class was going to be WAY too hard for me.

SPRING BREAK! (3/12)

Finally, a week of rest and absolutely no class! I can’t believe that this semester is basically half way done. It seems like yesterday I just started this class and had absolutely NO idea how to use photoshop. Now I feel like I’m getting used to some of the tools and feel confident using a few on my own with no help from anyone. It seems like there isn’t going to be enough time to complete all of the projects, but after going over my grade with professor, I have hope that things will work out fine! 🙂

Last weeks class I got a lot accomplished as for my hyper project. It’s finally almost done and i’m very happy with the way it is turning out. I had no idea that photoshop can really take a lot of time. I feel like when I start my cubism project it’ll be a bit easier for me since I now kinda have a feel for using some of the tools. Sometimes I got frustrated while working on my hyper because I had no idea how to use any of the tools. Very happy that my first project is almost complete 🙂

2/26/12

After looking at several works of Pablo Picasso, I started doing my sketches for my project. I was kind of confused but I tried my best. I added a lot of shapes because thats what I saw in many of Picasso’s cubism pieces. I’m looking forward to tomorrows class to see if i’m able to start my cubism project. Now that I think of it, i’m probably going to end up working on my hyper piece since it isn’t finished yet.
